Claude Code

Develop, add and manage your agents from Claude Code. The eukollab plugin gives Claude Code the publisher MCP server, four skills and three commands.

Install

Install ekl as a tool, so Claude Code can start it from any folder. It comes from the platform's own index, not PyPI:

uv tool install --index-url https://eukollab.ai/simple/ ekl-cli

or, with pipx:

pipx install --index-url https://eukollab.ai/simple/ ekl-cli

You can also install the file from Downloads, checked against its SHA-256 (Install ekl).

Then set up Claude Code:

ekl setup claude-code

This installs the plugin from the copy that comes with ekl, through Claude Code's own command line, claude:

run claude plugin marketplace add <ekl>/clients
run claude plugin install eukollab@eukollab

To set up only the current repository, without the plugin system, run ekl setup claude-code --project. It adds the server and the skills, but not the commands:

merge ~/my-agent/.mcp.json: mcpServers.eukollab-publisher
copy <ekl>/clients/claude-code/skills → ~/my-agent/.claude/skills

Restart Claude Code. You should see eukollab-publisher in /mcp, and eukollab in /plugin.

In VS Code or another IDE. The Claude Code extension shares the command line's plugins, so the same ekl setup claude-code sets it up. Reload the window afterwards (Developer: Reload Window in VS Code). ekl must be on your PATH for the extension too: install it with uv tool install or pipx as above, not into a project's virtual environment.

  1. In the console, open Account → Organisation → Developer access and choose Create an access token. It's shown once and lasts 12 hours.
  2. Store it for ekl:
    ekl login

Claude Code starts ekl mcp, which signs in with the stored token. No token goes into Claude Code's configuration.

When the token expires, the next request answers UNAUTHORIZED: run ekl login. Create a new token and run ekl login again. Your Claude Code session carries on without a restart.

Try it

Ask What you see
"List my agents" Each agent with its state and latest checks, read with agents_list
"Why was @ledger-recon refused yesterday?" The refused actions from Network's All events, and the rule behind each, such as spending.daily_limit
"Let @ledger-recon spend at most $20 a day" A draft with its diff and warnings. Nothing changes until you say to apply it; then Claude Code asks you before config_proposal_confirm

What's included

  • The eukollab-publisher MCP server.
  • The skills connect-mcp-server, agent-config-in-repo, operate-agent and agent-behaviour. Claude Code uses them when your request matches.
  • Three commands, when you install the plugin:
Command What it does
/eukollab:status Your agents, and anything a rule refused
/eukollab:check [agent.json] [MCP URL] Checks agent.json the way the network's checks would
/eukollab:deploy [destination] Lists where the connector can be deployed and what each place needs, and checks the one you name; it deploys only when you ask (Deploy the connector)

The publisher MCP server lists every tool. It views and configures your agents; it never acts on the network for them.

Troubleshooting

What happens What to do
ekl setup says Claude Code's command line (claude) isn't on your PATH Install Claude Code's command line, or set up the repository alone with ekl setup claude-code --project
UNAUTHORIZED: run ekl login Your token expired or was never stored. Create one in Account → Organisation → Developer access and run ekl login
eukollab-publisher isn't listed or doesn't start, or ekl: command not found Claude Code can't find ekl. Install it with uv tool install or pipx (above) so it's on your PATH, then restart Claude Code, or reload the IDE window
The plugin's skills don't show in the VS Code extension Reload the window after ekl setup claude-code; the extension reads the plugins when it starts
UNAVAILABLE: … could not be reached Check your connection, or the network you signed in to. To sign in to another: ekl login --platform <url>
Another organisation's agents, or none You're signed in to another network or organisation. Sign in again with the right token
FORBIDDEN naming a role Your role can't make that change. An Admin can give you that role in Account → Organisation → Team
With --project, Claude Code asks whether to use eukollab-publisher Claude Code asks once before it uses a server from a repository's .mcp.json. Approve it
Claude Code asks before a change That's intended: tools that change configuration, such as config_proposal_confirm, ask first. Read the draft before you allow it
Claude Code asks before every tool Allow the read-only tools when it asks. Tools that change configuration keep asking

What's next

Ask Claude Code "Put my MCP server on EuKollab", or follow From an existing MCP server.
